Williams Partners LP on Tuesday said its Atlantic Sunrise pipeline expansion has received environmental approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
The $3 billion project will help alleviate infrastructure bottlenecks in Pennsylvania, connecting Marcellus gas supplies with markets along the East Coast.
Following the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals, Tulsa, Okla.-based Williams anticipates starting construction on the mainline portion of the project facilities by midyear.
